LeakSignal Achieves Red Hat OpenShift Operator Certification

LeakSignal Achieves Red Hat OpenShift Operator Certification and Automates Software Installation and Maintenance Across the Hybrid Cloud

Red Hat OpenShift Operator brings portability and scalability benefits of containers across environments on the industry’s leading hybrid cloud application platform powered by Kubernetes

Atlanta, GA – June 5, 2024 – LeakSignal, today announced that it has achieved Red Hat OpenShift Operator Certification. As a part of the Red Hat partner ecosystem, OpenShift Operator Certification offers customers and independent software vendors (ISVs) greater confidence when building cloud-native applications on Red Hat OpenShift, the industry’s leading hybrid cloud application platform powered by Kubernetes. As a certified Red Hat OpenShift Operator, LeakSignal aims to provide protection against sensitive data leakage through real-time, in-transit data classification.

LeakSignal is at the forefront of addressing the critical challenges faced by businesses in securing the sensitive data consumed and emitted by APIs, LLMs, log pipelines and other data flows within microservices ecosystems. LeakSignal leverages the secure WebAssembly runtime within native Red Hat OpenShift control points to provide unparalleled in-line data classification and protection.

Layer 4-7 policy is used to identify sensitive data flowing through Red Hat OpenShift services and out to the public facing internet. API abuse, exfiltration and lateral movement are all immediately identified and mitigated – leveraging the existing infrastructure that is already deployed. No traffic mirroring and no cloud connection – everything is contained within the Red Hat OpenShift environment and integrates with existing SIEMs or other monitoring solutions.

“LeakSignal’s certification as a Red Hat OpenShift Operator provides our highly regulated customers with complete visibility of sensitive data flows when deploying across hundreds to thousands of services. LeakSignal instantly enables real time data flow mapping with a robust set of reporting and compliance tooling for the world’s most critical and modern infrastructures.” Wesley Hales, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, LeakSignal.

Red Hat OpenShift provides a consistent foundation for building, running and deploying applications across the hybrid cloud. Red Hat OpenShift Operators automate the creation, configuration and management of instances of Kubernetes-native applications – providing automation at every level of the stack. They help businesses to increase the overall manageability of production environments by reducing manual intervention and human error. To make it easier to build Kubernetes applications, Red Hat and the community created and maintains the Operator Framework, an open source toolkit to build and manage Operators in an automated way without extensive Kubernetes knowledge.

Red Hat OpenShift Operators are continuously monitored to reduce interoperability or security risks, and are backed up by collaborative support between Red Hat and its partners.

LeakSignal participated in Red Hat OpenShift Operator Certification, an offering in Red Hat Partner Connect, Red Hat’s technology partner program, by which partners can certify their Operators for use on Red Hat OpenShift. OpenShift Operators have been additionally validated beyond the basic tests performed for the community Operators from OperatorHub.io. LeakSignal has passed OpenShift Operator Certification and will be listed in the OperatorHub embedded in Red Hat OpenShift and a web catalog listing of Certified Operators.

“We are pleased to recognize LeakSignal as a certified Red Hat OpenShift Operator to further extend choice and flexibility for customers on the industry’s leading hybrid cloud application platform powered by Kubernetes. Red Hat OpenShift provides a powerful Kubernetes-driven foundation to support LeakSignal’s in-transit data classification capabilities, which remains a top priority for many regulated organizations.” Tushar Katarki, senior director, Product Management, Hybrid Cloud Platforms, Red Hat.

Red Hat OpenShift Operators provide a simplified path for software partners to deliver tested Kubernetes applications on the industry’s leading hybrid cloud application platform powered by Kubernetes. Customers and partners using custom-developed or third-party ISV Operators certified for Red Hat OpenShift can have greater confidence that these applications can increase operational efficiency of business application management when using them across a public, private or hybrid cloud architecture.
